We're on deck for a heckuva showdown as the Atlanta Braves go bat to bat with the New York Mets over at Citi Field in Queens. A place where the pitchers get a bit of a hug and the batters, well, they need to up their game so to speak.
Repping the Braves on the mound, we got the man of the hour, Grant Holmes. This season, with an impressive 3.87 ERA and a WHIP of 1.26. His K/9 is an eyeball popping 10.7 over 16 appearances. On the Mets side of the field, we got Griffin Canning, holding his own with a 4.01 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and a decent 8.4 K/9 over 15 appearances.
The Braves bring their A-game with players like Ronald Acuna Jr who's been blondie on fire with a .388 batting average along with 15 RBIs, 7 homers and 4 stolen bases.
