Tallon Griekspoor in 3 sets. Let's see if love does indeed conquer all.Alright, my dear penny pinchers, gladiators of the green, let's get down to brass tacks here. Our match up? One Mr. Jesper de Jong, our surprising underdog facing off against the sterling silver fox, Tallon Griekspoor.
Now if we're glancing in the rearview mirror we see that de Jong has been something of a Griekspoor kryptonite, having two wins over our snappy veteran. Jesper even managed to wrap up his recent matches with a firm mitt, tossing Kopřiva V. and Rejchtman Vinciguerra W. aside with as much effort as swatting away an overzealous mosquito gloating about his last blood-feast.
On the other side of the net, Grieksoor has been dancing around like a prizefighter with something to prove. Despite a hiccup against the tricky Brooksby J., he has displayed a strength that reminds us all why he's one shiny two-seed.
So, like a tightrope walker over a pit of vipers who also dabble in acrobatics on the side, we've got to balance past performance and present form. While Jesper may have broken Griekspoor's heart twice before, I feel we may see a resurgence from our tennis lothario this time around. De Jong certainly isn't one to be discounted, but with odds in Griekspoor's favor and his recent victories, it's hard to deny the sway of the court.
