Geelong Cats by 61Right, let's gander at this clash between the Geelong Cats and the Richmond Tigers. Well, if erratic pattern games was a charm, the Tigers may have a whiff of hope; after all, they made the cats hiccup on that rainy Friday in May '23. But, that little glimmer fades when you look at the tables this season: Tigers jingling their way on the #17 spot while the Cats perch pretty under the top five.
Now, our feline friends from Geelong are purring it pretty, with a neat 10-5 season record. A dip against Brisbane not long ago, but they came bouncing back with a massive victory against Essendon that sure made their fans hotfoot it to the bookies! And remember the annihilation they handed to Western mid-May? A game to recall at the pub, that!
Speaking of recalls, if there's one thing the Tigers would want to forget, it is the season they're having: 3-12, c'mon mate! Recent losses to Western and Adelaide were brutal. Even the Giants and the Bombers made them look like cuddly kittens when they should've been roaring!
So here's my two cents: With the form Geelong Cats are in, it'd be a stunner if they don't take this one home, and quite comfortably, might I add. The Tigers will need more than a couple of upset rabbits to pull from their hats to steal this one. But hey, it's footy, and stranger things have happened!
