Gold Coast Suns by 23Take a gander at this riveting matchup folks - oh wait, I didn't just say that. Anyway, the Gold Coast Suns and the Essendon Bombers are locking horns in the 17th round of good old fashioned footy. Now, the Suns are basking in 8th position glory on the AFL ladder, while the poor Bombers are struggling their way through the season at a less-than-impressive 13th.
The Suns and the Bombers have a history bathed in sweat and competition. Pull out your abacus and you can figure out the Suns tend to shine brighter when they face off against the Bombers. In the last three games they've played, the Suns managed to roast the Bombers twice. Savvy betters might want to remember that when considering the recent performance of both teams.
Now, it's not all sunshine for the Suns. Recently they faced defeat at the hands of Melbourne - and it wasn't pretty. Greater Western Sydney and Fremantle also gloated in the Suns' misery earlier. Yet performance-wise, they rarely fail to put up some good numbers on the board.
Compare that to the Bombers' track record which is about as impressive as my Aunt Emma's knitting club. Losing to Fremantle and Geelong recently might have rocked their confidence a bit. Not to mention, Essendon's struggle to even reach Richmond in their encounter might be a sign; a sign that the Bombers are more a whimper than a bang!
