Alright, people, it's time to talk some basketball. Let's look at our players to watch. On the Fever side, we've got Aliyah Boston, Caitlin Clark, and Kelsey Mitchell. A keen eye might notice that not only do they seem to have an infinite amount of skill, they also seem to have an infinite stats. Must be one of those quirky mathematical anomalies. Meanwhile, over on the Liberty squad, we've got Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu who have been solid, to say the least, with points per game in the high teens last month.
Looking at the history books, Indiana Fever and New York Liberty have had some classic battles with the most notable one in June 2025, where Fever triumphed with a stunning 102-88 win. However, overall, it's been a slight edge to the Liberty.
During this regular season, the Liberty has been more impressive with a 14-6 win-loss record. The Fever went through some feverish battles to scrap together a respectable 11-10 record but came up short compared to Liberty's achievements. The Liberty's recent results have been generally positively radiant though the Fever did manage to turn up the heat and come away with impressive wins against the Connecticut Sun and Dallas Wings.
Current standings give the Liberty a further edge, no doubt thanks to the shining efforts of Stewart and Joenscu. They are positioned third in the league, shadowing, but not by much, the Fever who currently claim the sixth spot.
For those of you looking to place some bets, a word of advice - consider the factors. The performance of both teams and my gut, which is never wrong, except when it is. The hunch, trust me, is a refined science even if my ex-wife disagrees. With all these considered, I am handing the torch to New York Liberty.
Albert’s Prediction: New York Liberty by 8
