Indiana Fever by 11
Alright, buckle up because we're in for a treat with this rumble between the Dallas Wings and the Indiana Fever. Don't start feeling feverish yet, both squads have their worthies to boast about.
In the blue corner, hailing from Dallas, we've got Paige Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale, the one-two punch combo that's been hitting right around the 20 and 18 points per game mark this season respectively. We also got DiJonai Carrington who's been teasing double figures in points and rebounds but hasn't quite made it there yet, maybe we'll see it tonight, who knows?
But let's not brush off the Fever, they come packing heat as well. Kelsey Mitchell is dishing out 21.3 points per game, and oh boy, don't we all wish we had Aliyah Boston's infinite stats, huh? Must be nice to be that good. A special shout out to Caitlin Clark too, who's been having an exceptional time averaging more than 15 points and 8 assists per game.
With regard to the historical matrix of these two, well, the Fever seems to enjoy putting the Wings in a heated pressure cooker. Indeed, a slight upper hand for Fever in past encounters, and that possibly carries some weightage.
Now let's talk shop - regular season records. The Fever are sitting pretty with 10-10 while the Wings are ... well ... let's say trying their wings at 6-15. And not meaning to twist the knife, but given their position in the standings (#12), seems like the Wings' chances are slimmer than the Fever who sit much prettier at #7. Recent results have also shown the Fever's upper hand.
Now, don't shoot the messenger for saying this, but sometimes you gotta look at the writing on the wall.
