Penrith Panthers by 10You know, the Penrith Panthers and the Parramatta Eels have had quite the, let's say, 'intense' relationship in the past. I mean, who can forget that nail-biting 36-34 result back in ‘24? Good times... well, for the Panthers at least.
Our friends at Parramatta, however, might be facing a rough ride today. The Eels are sitting rather uncomfortably at 15th in the standings whereas the Panthers are enjoying the view from number 6.
The Panthers, with an even 7-7-1, have, well, got a tug of war of their own going on. But they've pulled out a few surprises recently, toppling both the Bulldogs and the Warriors. Comparatively, the Eels' season record, seems a bit stop and start with 5 wins and 10 losses. Seems like they might be swimming against the tide.
Recent results for both teams shed more light here. The Panthers have built up some credibility with their recent wins while the Eels...well, let's just say they would like a fairy godmother right about now. When you peek at the results against each other, the Panthers have clearly got the bigger roar with their 3 victories to the Eels' 2.
Given the numbers and their respective positions, my harmless yet non-negotiable prediction sees the Penrith Panthers victorious in this matchup. My oh my, who'd have thought, huh?
