Yomiuri Giants by 2Oh strapped in for another electrifying game of baseball, are we? Good, you're in for av treat – we've got Yokohama DeNA BayStars crossing bats with the Yomiuri Giants. Now don’t get all riled up, but it’s not looking too rosy for the BayStars, my friends.
You can count, can’t you? It doesn’t take a stats whiz to see the BayStars have lost more often to the Giants, four out of five past matchup send up in their favor. And let’s not turn a blind eye to Giants recent form. They ate more losses than a kid at his first spelling bee, sure, but they did manage to plug the BayStars completely solid last game. Sluggers gotta slug, right?
Now let's pause and take a look at these two evenly matched regular season records hovering in mediocrity, each at an enthralling 33 wins and 35 losses. Brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it? But when you're stuck in the middle, you've gotta take your victories where you can. And that's where the Yomiuri Giants look just a smidge more appealing.
As for the recent performance, if BayStars were a racehorse, they'd be making glue right now. Stumbling through loss after loss, their low scoring games are more uninspiring than last year's halftime show.
