So, we've got ourselves a little dragon-squaring-off-against-carp situation. Don't laugh, folks, that's a legit matchup. Now, the Hiroshima Carp, they've got an even-steven, lukewarm slice of the season under their belt with a comforting 33-33 record. Chunichi Dragons are not quite so fortunate, sitting on 32-36.
Glancing at some recent memory, it's a bit of a dragon-carp tug of war. But I'd be remiss not to mention that the Dragons did manage to edge out the Carp in their last meet-up. Now, does that mean they can roast our beloved Carps again? Not necessarily.
Scanning the recent activity log, Carps did just fine against the Golden Eagles but were rather mercylessly steamrolled by the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. That's a bit of a hiccup in their stride. Dragons, on the other hand, had a bit of a mixed bag against the Fighters and lost out significantly against the Buffaloes.
So, what does this all mean? Well, it means I get paid to do this, and you get to hear my marvelous dulcet tones. Despite some stumbles, I'm leaning towards the briney scent of victory for the Hiroshima Carp.
