Alrighty then! Let's chop this giblet. We've got the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters visiting the Saitama Seibu Lions. A matchup as tasty as a ballpark frank, if you ask me.
These two teams have done the dance five times this season and the Fighters have hoofed it out three times as victors. I can see the worry lines on the Lions' mascot already.
Now, the Fighters are coming in hot, with a season record of 41-27, leaving the Lions in the dust with their 37-32. I mean, that's not 'left in another country' kind of dust, but dust nonetheless.
The Fighters have roasted their recent opponents - well, apart from that slight singe they got from the Chunichi Dragons - but they came out of the tussle against the Lions like a fresh hotdog from a ballpark stand.
On the other side, the Lions have been hopping as well, Not as high, mind you, but they've got their share of victories, even if some were by the skin of their teeth.
Seeing them head to head, I reckon the Fighters have the upper hand, I'd say, more like a meaty fist. So here it is:
