Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks by 2Look, if history was a dragon, it would be breathing fire on the Chunichi Dragons right about now. They've been absolutely grilled in their last two matches against the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks and their recent performance, in general, doesn't really inspire any fire-breathing hope, does it? So, disappointing poetry aside, bravo to the creative naming team for the Dragons, by the way.
On the other side, we have the Hawks - who aren't just riding a wave, they're practically causing a tsunami right now. Their current streak against the Dragons, the slightly better regular season record, it paints quite a pretty picture for betters and fans alike.
And, they've been enjoying a comfortable nest in recent times, their feathers unruffled by any serious competition. I mean, yes, the Dragons did have their sizzler moment last year, but that seems as far away as the last time I enjoyed a good salad.
So, as heart-wrenching as it may be for some fans, the Dragons might just want to consider bringing marshmallows to the match, because all signs point to them getting roasted.
