Ah, the sweet symphony of bounce and swoosh is upon us once more folks, much to the delight of insomniacs and die-hard basketball fanatics. The Phoenix Suns, enveloped by a slightly shadowy veil, will face off against the Charlotte Hornets who seem to spend more time on their stingers than their game lately looking at their recent records.
For the Suns, the court will be lit up by the celestial prowess of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, pushing up the score with their mean point averages of 30 and 27.6 respectively last month. Durant is having a pretty strong season, hitting scores higher than his season average last month. The Suns have also been playing with a full deck with the likes of Jusuf Nurkić and Royce O'Neale adding a nice bit of variety to their loaf.
The bustling hive of the Hornets, on the other hand, has LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges buzzing around the net, scoring well into the twenties, but the question is, will it be enough to outshine the Suns? Ball, in particular, has been iconic this season scoring an average of 29.8 points per game.
Historically, the Suns tend to roast the Hornets quite nicely, taking the win thrice in their last four encounters, and the Hornets don't seem to be showing any strong signs of resistance in their recent games. It's a sad song for the Charlotte crowd, isn't it?
Position-wise, both teams aren't exactly top shelf, resided in the lower rungs of their respective conferences, but the Suns are still flying slightly higher than the Hornets.
Now, for those of you with a little money to burn and are looking for a 'fair' shake, lean towards Phoenix. Keep in mind though, it's not always sunshine and rainbows in the glorious world of our beloved bouncing ball game.
