Looking ahead at our match-up between the Boston Celtics and the Denver Nuggets, we have an interesting game in store folks. On one side, the Celtics are strong with Jayson Tatum, who has been averaging 27.0 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game the past month. Not to mention Jaylen Brown and his significant contribution of 22.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game in the same time frame. However, the Celtics have encountered a hiccup with Derrick White being sidelined due to injury which might leave a noticeable gap in their defense.
Over on the Nuggets' end, big man Nikola Jokić can't be ignored. His last month stats have him posting 33.4 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 8.9 assists per game. Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr also contributing significantly, but alas, the Nuggets have their fair share of injuries too, with Jokić, Aaron Gordon, and two others labelled as doubtful for the next match.
When we look back at the previous contests, the Nuggets have had a slight edge. However, this season the Celtics have a better overall record and are second in the Eastern conference against Nuggets being fourth in the West. Both teams have had pretty decent victories in their most recent matches though, so momentum is on their side.
There is no easy answer in this one, but I'm going to lean towards the Celtics. Those injuries to the Nuggets' key players is going to be the determining factor. Here it is, no frills:
