My Prediction
New York Knicks by 9Sorry to rain on anyone's parade here, but judging by past performances, that matchup's as one-sided as a boxing match between a kangaroo and a koala. The New York Knicks have consistently outperformed the New Orleans Pelicans and with the Knicks' star players like 'Karl-Anthony Towns', who's been dropping points like it's no big deal and 'Jalen Brunson' delivering assists like a mailman on steroids, it's hard to see a different outcome.
That said, the Pelicans aren’t exactly flightless birds here. They've got their talons full of talent with 'Dejounte Murray' and 'CJ McCollum' putting up strong performances. However, the lack of 'Brandon Ingram' due to injury may just clip their wings a bit. Let’s not pretend either that past matchups haven’t been a bit of a kick in the feathers for the Pelicans who’ve lost more than they’ve won.
The Knicks are sitting pretty in 3rd place in the East, while the Pelicans are perched languidly at 15th in the West. Also, just taking a peek at the Knicks' record, it's evident they've been outperforming the Pelicans in recent games. The Knicks might as well stroll into this one with a New York-style swagger, and the Pelicans, well, may need to pray for some divine intervention or something.
So, If this basketball matchup was a scene from a Hollywood movie, I'd say we're in for an underdog story. Yet, methinks this film might not have a happy ending for our feathered friends.
