Collins and Markkanen, keeping the beat up by scoring 18.0 and 19.6 points respectively last month. However, they need assistance from the back-up singers or their record will continue to skip.
Contrarily, that shiny hubcap of the Motor City, the Detroit Pistons, aren't exactly racing ahead with a sub-par 11-16 record. Their scoreboard might not be as exciting as a car chase, but boy, Cade Cunningham is doing a one-man demolition derby. He's been revving on the court averaging 23.9 points per game last month. Jaden Ivey too, is popping wheelies with 16.3 points per game.
Dwelling on past matchups between these two teams, it’s been a tight race but with more pleasant vibes coming in from Utah. Pistons seem to have a bit of catching up to do considering their last face-offs.
Looking at the recent form of both teams, it's like comparing stalled engines. Pistons have had the slight edge though, keeping their wheels turning more often than their counterparts from Salt Lake City.
