Alright, let's kick things off with Toronto FC's goalkeeper, Sean Johnson, who sports a 6.87 rating with 9 saves under his belt. He's decent, I suppose, but that's like saying the coffee in the office break room is decent. It's not fantastic, but it'll do.
On the other side of the field we have San Diego FC's duo of netminders. There's Pablo Sisniega packing a 6.90 rating with 3 saves, and CJ dos Santos with a rating of 6.45 and 10 saves. I guess two heads are better than one, just like two servings of nachos are better than one.
As for Toronto FC's offensive, Deybi Flores and Alonso Coello are both hanging onto 7.35+ ratings and each has netted a goal. Not that I'm keeping count or anything. Theo Corbeanu, with his 7.28 rating and 1 goal, brings up the rear. It's an okay line-up, like a three-flavor ice cream sundae. Nothing fancy, just simple and sweet.
San Diego FC, on the other hand, has a couple of aces up their sleeve. Anders Dreyer and Milan Iloski are putting up some pretty staggering numbers with 5 and 7 goals respectively, and both sporting 8+ ratings. They’re like a perfectly cooked steak, juicy and satisfying. Top notch.
Looking at the regular season records, Toronto FC is straggling behind like a kid that forgot his lunch at home, posting a record of 4-6-11. San Diego FC, with a 13-3-6 record, has been eating their Wheaties, to say the least.
Considering the recent results, Toronto FC seems to be stuck in a rut, their play equivalent to my attempt to pronounce "Worcestershire." San Diego FC, however, is grabbing victories left and right like free doughnuts at a police convention.
Let's not beat around the bush, folks. It's clear as day that San Diego FC is primed to walk away with this one.
