Nashville SC by 1You know, this is one of those matchups that look good on paper—like your cousin’s start-up idea that involves artisanal shoelaces. Nashville SC versus Columbus Crew. Can't get much better in the MLS, if you're into that sort of thing.
For the Crew, their net often finds itself guarded by Evan Bush or Patrick Schulte. Both chaps are decent, but they're clearly lacking Joe Willis' quick reflexes. Willis, the Nashville goalie, has 15 saves this season, which in layman terms means, he’s done his job 15 times better than his competitors.
On the field, it looks like a veritable Who's Who of soccer nobodies with the exception of a few. Diego Rossi stands out for Columbus Crew, with 3 goals to his name this season and Maximilian Arfsten impresses with his accuracy. And let's not forget about Dylan Chambost who has... well, he hasn't scored any goals, but boy can he pass!
Nashville SC plays host to an all-star lineup, relatively speaking of course. Hany Mukhtar and Sam Surridge are a lethal duo with 3 and 5 goals respectively, it's like a Batman and Robin situation, except Batman is the quiet guy who hands out towels in the gym.
Looking at past records, Nashville and Columbus have scratched each other's backs quite evenly. The only exception being Columbus’ 2-0 victory which I’m sure Nashville SC fans prefer to forget, like the time Uncle Joe forgot to wear pants to Christmas dinner.
Regular season records are both more or less alright with a slight advantage to Nashville SC because apparently, winning games matters in sports. Who knew?
Recent results show Columbus Crew having a good run, like right after a family-sized burrito, while Nashville SC seems to have been taking lessons from the little engine that could.
If I were a gambling man, which I'd like to clarify, I am not (my chihuahua, Sir Barksalot owns all my betting apps) - I'd say this game is leaning towards Nashville SC, they just seem to have that edge, or it could be the spicy burrito still giving me heartburn.
