Arizona Diamondbacks by 2Well, well, well, if it isn't another hot face-off on the diamond, the Arizona Diamondbacks visiting the St. Louis Cardinals in lovely, muggy, bug-infested Busch Stadium. Now, no need to adjust those baseball goggles; the Park Factor at Busch does lean a bit on the lower side, making an unfavorable diversion for the batters. Sorry sluggers, less souvenirs for the bleachers, more stress for you.
Let's get nitpicky with the hurlers, shall we? The Diamondbacks are throwing Zac Gallen onto the mound, a man who's been a bit generous this season, boasting a 5.27 ERA and 1.41 WHIP. The Cardinals aren't sitting idle though. Their walking milestone, Miles Mikolas, checks in with a commendable 3.91 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP. It's like comparing grizzly bears with teddy bears, isn't it?
Bring in the gladiators! The Diamondbacks' delegation is led by Geraldo Perdomo, a promising sight with an impressive .323 average and 18 RBIs, followed by Gabriel Moreno, Eugenio Suarez and Corbin Carroll adding more fuel to the flame. On the Cardinal's corner, Ivan Herrera's swinging a mighty stick with a .436 average, aided by the likes of Alec Burleson, Willson Contreras, and Lars Nootbaar.
If we take a glimpse in the rear-view mirror at the past clashes, these two teams have been trading punches like it's a boxing match.
