Now, I won't tell you their odds, but consider this, the Minnesota Twins are set to take on the Baltimore Orioles, and it's going to be a doozy. We're at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, which moderately favors the folks packing the big bats. That could spice things up a bit for our top players today.
Seems like Twins are letting Bailey Ober take the mound and if we're just comparing stats, Ober has the edge over Orioles' Dean Kremer. Ober's 3.60 ERA and 7.8 K/9 are a touch better than Kremer's 5.47 ERA and 6.3 K/9, which may cause a few brows to raise.
A few notable bats on the Twins, Harrison Bader and Byron Buxton, shouldn't be discounted. Bader currently boasts a .328 average and Buxton isn't too far behind with .301. On the other hand, the Orioles have a couple strong teammates with Ryan O'Hearn leading the pack with a .313 batting average.
Now when we dive into past performances, the Twins have mostly held the Orioles at bay, most recently claiming 2 out of 3 victories when they last faced off in May. And while the Twins have a modest 21-20 record, they have been on a hot streak winning their most recent 5 matches, whereas the Orioles, albeit coming off a win, are nursing their 15-24 record.
Taking everything into account, especially the payout data which I disturbingly can't quote exactly, I'd take my chances with the Twins.
