San Francisco Giants by 3
Alright, buckle up folks cause we're jumping headfirst into the ballpark of the San Francisco Giants making a stand against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Tipping our hats to the known Oracle Park, a nice ambiguous setting with an average kind of ring to it for both troops.
Taking to the mound, we've got the Diamondbacks bringing Merrill Kelly with a steady 4.44 ERA and 1.08 WHIP, nothing that's going to make you need to sit down. Newcomers Suarez and Carroll filling the line today, Suarez with a less than average batting, but leading the Geraldo Perdomo with 7 home runs, a little steam under their hats at least. Perdomo is looking strong with his 17 RBIs, leading the team, and throwing 7 stolen bases from the back pocket.
The Giants, on the other hand, are pushing forward Justin Verlander. An ERA of 4.88, better give that man a faulty compass because he's not navigating it too well. In the last month, both Lee Jung Hoo and Matt Chapman are looking good, not breaking any hearts with their RBIs, and adding a nice collection of home runs each.
Memories are flooding back of past collisions between these teams; the Giants were swinging and stomping at the Diamondbacks' turf just months ago. However, in the grand tally, the Giants have been coming in hot with a dashing 24 wins this season, leaving the Diamondbacks trailing with just 21, something that might give the D-Backs some nerves.
Recent ongoings have been mixed for both teams, wins and losses shared, though Arizona's taking a bit of a basketful of losses, which is never exciting news, just adds water to the bonfire, don't it? The Giants have seemingly remembered how to bat with wins over both Minnesota and Chicago.
And for what everyone's been waiting for -- I'm calling this one for the Giants, folks.
