Oh the Halle Open, isn't it a sight for sore eyes? Today we have a real fun one, a clash between the rampant top-seed sizzler, Jannik Sinner, and the unseeded, yet spirited, Alexander Bublik.
Sure, Bublik gives it a good swing- his wins against Muller, Draper, Rocha and de Minaur are testament to that. He’s inconsistent, but boy when he gets those first serves in, it's like Venus de Milo suddenly deciding to take up tennis - you can't help but stand and applaud.
Moving over to the Italian Stallion, Sinner. This lad has been decimating the competition like I decimate a bag of chips during commercial breaks. Hanfmann? Done in straight sets. Djokovic? Wiped off in straight sets. Bublik last time? Let's just say it was less competition, more exhibition, in straight sets again.
And let's not forget the history these two share, it's been more one-sided than my receding hairline. Sinner has bested Bublik in their last two match-ups, making Bublik look more like a bug on his windshield rather than a worthy opponent.
Now, if you're one of those risk-loving betters looking to hit a big payday... well, I might have to disappoint you. Putting everything in a blender and mixing it up, it's looking more like an espresso Macchiato - strong, Italian and topped with Sinner.
Albert’s Prediction: Sinner in straight sets.
