Tiafoe in straight setsOkay, let's take a gander at the tennis landscape. We've got Frances Tiafoe sitting snug at seed number 7 and Daniel Evans hanging out there somewhere in 'unseeded-land.' Now, looking this over, Tiafoe is no stranger to sweet victory when faced with Evans, going 2-for-3 in their past matchups.
Let me make one thing clear: Evans isn't exactly a pushover either. His recent wins against Hijikata R., Rottgering M., and Walton A. speak volumes about the man's grit. Yet, that dreadful loss to Humbert U. recently, not to mention that two sets of love given away to Tabur C. doesn’t do much for his cause.
On the other side, we've got Tiafoe, an interesting specimen to say the least. A streak of victories seem to have become derailed by a recent loss to Musetti L, that had to hurt. Yet, one rocky service game doesn't overshadow his impressive shutouts against Altmaier D., Korda S., Carreno Busta P., and Safiullin R in swift succession.
