Fritz in straight setsLet's delve into this, shall we? We have Taylor Fritz, clearly wreaking havoc as the number three seed recently, meeting head-on with Corentin Moutet, who has been playing the underdog card in the Queen’s Club Championships.
In the red corner, yes, Fritz has been throwing proverbial haymakers, as any decent seed would, absolutely crushing Zverev A., Auger-Aliassime F., Fucsovics, M., and Halys Q. all in a row. Granted, Altmaier D. did give him a reality check with a 3 to 1 set defeat. However, we may chalk that up as a hiccup along the journey.
Now, glancing over at Moutet, he's been busy playing catch-up. Sure, Rinderknech A. and Bellucci M. tasted defeat at his hands, both in hard-fought 2 to 1 sets. But, the bigger guns--Zverev A. and Djokovic N.--no doubt gave him a run for his money without breaking a sweat.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist, or even a semi-decent sports commentator to slap the odds squarely in favor of Fritz here. Heck, he may just skip past Moutet in straight sets, barely breaking a sweat.
