Batten down the hatches as we brace the high tides of tennis in the form of a showdown between Alex de Minaur and Jiri Lehecka at the Queen's Club Championships. Now, de Minaur, our fifth seed and a whirling dervish on the court, has been showing us some groovy moves, but has also showcased a few hiccups, losing two of his last five encounters.
On the other side of the net, we have the unseeded Lehecka. Now don't be fooled by those shiny monikers of seeds and rankings. Lehecka has been strumming the tennis guitar to his rhythm winning three of his previous five battles. Yet, he faced a sound defeat against Shelton B. recently, which has got to smart, reminding us that every rose has its thorn.
But when it comes down to it, this isn't a 70s rock festival, it's tennis, and you've got to tote the mark till the last gasp. De Minaur, with his aced (pun intended) performance and higher seed, might have that little smidgen of extra mental grit. Let's also not forget his cherished run here at the Queen's Club Championships before. So if you're asking me, in my not so humble opinion, I would hazard a guess that de Minaur has got the wind in his sails for this one.
Albert’s Prediction: de Minaur in 3 sets.
