Cerundolo in straight sets.
Shining a bright spotlight on our dynamic duo here, Alex Michelsen and Francisco Cerundolo. Ah, the Halle Open, where unseeded daredevils like Michelsen dare to volley with the big boys. Now, Michelsen's recent performance reads like a tragedy by William Shakespeare's standards. Engel J? Borges N? Djere L? All squashed our man like a bug on the pavement. Though he squeezed out a win against Monfils G., the tables were turned not long after by none other than Cerundolo's own flesh and blood. A tale of vengeance there if I ever heard one.
Switching over now to Francisco Cerundolo. Or as he is otherwise known, the 5th seed of our high-stakes Halle Open. Cerundolo, bless his heart, hasn't exactly been on fire of late. Vincent van Gogh painted more victories, for Pete's sake. Diallo G and Lehečka J both got the better of him, while our man managed to steal two sets apiece from Martínez P and Ofner S.
Now, as the natural order would have it, the strong take from the weak. And fifth seed Cerundolo isn't in this tournament for love. He's stumbled, absolutely. But what can I say? Seeds are there for a divine reason, and in this case, Francisco's shining star may just outshine Michelsen come game time.
Albert’s Prediction: Cerundolo in straight sets.
