Djokovic in straight sets.In the spirit of love, we're heading into the Round of 16 of the Geneva Open with a matchup that surely raises a few eyebrows - Marton Fucsovics taking on the second seeded dynamo, Novak Djokovic. Djokovic has been as consistent as bad jokes at a comedy club, and the past bouts between these two have clearly not left Fucsovics with a lot to celebrate about.
Here's a fun fact for your next dinner party - in their past three encounters, Djokovic has come out as victorious. However, it seems like Djokovic has been riding a slightly shaky form lately, tasting defeat thrice in a row recently. On the other hand, Fucsovics, the unseeded underdog, has been showing occasional sparks of brilliance, successfully taking down a couple of formidable opponents.
But, enough about the past. Today is a new day, and the sun could shine differently. It’s captivating to see these two warriors duel it out on the court. However, it's going to be a steep climb for Fucsovics, especially against the second seed Djokovic, despite his recent dips the latter has shown moments of top-class tennis.
Fucsovics might have to pull a rabbit out of a hat in this matchup, while Djokovic needs to do what he does best - being a winning machine. In tennis, just like in a low-budget movie, anything can happen, but my money is on a blockbuster performance from the Djoker.
