My Prediction
Vukic in 3 sets.In the red corner, we have hot shot Sebastian Korda. He's listed as the 22nd seed and also favored by the bookies. However, if you peek into his recent results, our boy Sebby seems to be having a bit of a rough time on the court. The poor lad lost three out of his last five matches. Not exactly what you'd call 'on a roll'.
Now, in the blue corner, we have Aleksandar Vukic. No flashy tournament seed for him, and a promising payout if he upsets the order of things today. When you consider how he's done against Korda in the past, I'd say his chances aren't "love". He's actually leading 2-1 against our seed-sporting Serbian American. While he's had some bumps on the court too, losing three of his last five matches, let me remind you folks - once you hit rock bottom, there's no way to go but up.
So here's my prediction folks - prepare for a bit of a rollercoaster. This isn't going to be a walk in the park for either gentlemen. Korda may have the fancy seeding and the nod from the odds-makers, but Vukic isn't going to fold easier than a cheap lawn chair. I say we're looking at a tough three setter here.
