Now, about the players, North Carolina Courage's Manaka Matsukubo has been nothing short of fantastic this month, complemented by Felicitas Rauch and Jaedyn Shaw. Over at Angel City FC, Alyssa Thompson's been prancing all over, scoring a goal from 4 solid strikes. Gisele Thompson and Riley Tiernan are holding up strong in her support.
Recent history tells us that both teams have been engaged in some tight tussles in the past. A certain Angel City seems to have a slight upper hand with two victories to one. Regular season records are close, albeit Angel City is perched a slot above their counterparts with an extra win.
