My Prediction
Orix Buffaloes by 2Right. Much like my aunt Bernice at Thanksgiving dinner, the Orix Buffaloes come into this one as slight favorites. Their seasonal record comfortably snubs its nose at the Dragons' less than optimal performance, with the Buffaloes boasting a few more notches in the win column.
Looking back, history is a bit of an indecisive friend. Past match-ups between these two teams would make any fortune teller throw their hands up in frustration. However, the Buffaloes have managed to edge out the Dragons more often than not.
Rumor has it (actually, make that fact) that the Buffaloes are coming off a steady stream of success, trampling over more than a few opponents, including our friends, the Dragons, in the recent past. The Dragons, on the other hand, have had a little dance with inconsistency, their recent victories being more of the close shave variety.
Long story short, putting your money on the Buffaloes today would be like betting on mom's apple pie at a baking contest - it's just hard to go wrong there. And just to put some numbers to it...
