Chiba Lotte Marines by 2I tell you what, folks; if I were a Tokyo Yakult Swallows' fan, I might consider taking a day off from watching them play against Chiba Lotte Marines. The feathered fellas of Tokyo have been having a hard time keeping those scores high. What with an uneven track record of 17-38 if we glance back at the regular season.
Now look at the Chiba Lotte Marines, on the other hand. They don't exactly wow the crowd with a stellar record either, coming in with 22-35. However, what little they have up their sleeves looks a bit shinier compared to our Swallow friends.
In the more recent past, the Marines dared to do the deed and edged out the Swallows 5 to 4. A tight squeeze, but a victory nonetheless. In the last few matches, the Marines have had a touch of the winning bug, scoring a decent couple of victories with a smattering of losses.
Meanwhile, the Swallows in their last four games were brushing away the dirt more often than ruffling their feathers in victory, managing just one win out of their games.
I'd say, despite the chaotic beauty that is the world of sports where anything - I mean anything - can happen, we might see the Marines sustain their Maritime dominance over the Swallows. However, a betting man might make note of the recent close games, indicating the Swallows haven't lost all their feathers just yet. Even so, I foresee the Marines strutting away with a win.
