Chunichi Dragons by 2Ah, yes. We've got a banger on our hands. Chunichi Dragons are paying a visit to the Saitama Seibu Lions' den. What a time to be alive.
So, let's lay this out here - the Dragons, technically, are not the best of the bunch this season, flaunting a 29-30 record. Very middle of the road, but that doesn’t mean we overlook them. History has a sting in its tail, and the recent head-to-head tells a tale of the Dragons having the Lions' number. A bit ironic, considering that dragons are mythical and lions are king of the jungle, but we’ll roll with it.
On the other hand, the Lions, defying the animal kingdom hierarchy, haven't exactly roared their way to the top either, sitting at 32-28. Their recent history has been a mixed bag, holding their own against the Tigers, but looked like kittens against the mighty Carp.
As much as it pains me to say, the Dragons might just pull out the win this time. Their tenacity and perseverance seem to somewhat disturb the majestic mane of the Lions. Judging by the game of numbers, a nod of approval goes to the Dragons. It's going to be a see-saw of a match, and the odds might just tip in favour of the Dragons by a couple of runs.
