Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles by 2
Seems like we've got quite a game on our hands here. On the one side, the Yomiuri Giants stand with a slightest of advantage in the season's win-loss record, a hop and a skip ahead with 28 wins over the 27 losses. Now on the other side, the Golden Eagles aren't flying too low either, with a handful of more losses at 28 but only 25 wins.
Now, don't get caught in the tall grass here. If we roll back the tape, the Golden Eagles have had their talons deep in the Giants in their past clashes. Let's just say, they seem to have mastered the art of putting the Giants to slumber in not one, not two, but the last four matchups. Baseball isn't rocket science people, history matters.
Let's not fool ourselves though - the Giants haven't had the best run recently. In fact, their recent performance could make a grown man cry. On the field, they are playing like Erik Barnes on a bad day. If you catch my drift, it's not exactly a sight for sore eyes. However, good ol' money says that Giants might just pull a Houdini, but let's not bank on that.
Honestly folks, the Golden Eagles haven't exactly been turning water into wine either. However, they have been steadily pecking away, especially against Erik Barnes, which might just suggest that their wings are still strong.
After sifting through the sand, my money would be on these feathery friends. Here it is, down the middle, no chaser:
