San Jose Earthquakes by 1Well, if you're hoping for a high-scoring match, you might want to tamp down those hopes. LA Galaxy's keeper, Novak Mićović, has been holding the fort with a decent 6.97 rating and 13 saves. On the other end, the Earthquakes have two solid goalkeepers in Daniel and Earl Edwards Jr. with ratings of 7.55 and 7.10 respectively.
Now, the Galaxy players, they could use some extra shots on goal. Gabriel Pec, with an impressive 7.70 rating, has netted 2 goals for the team. Matheus Nascimento and Lucas Sanabria both added a goal each, but Marco Reus and Zanka, despite being top players with great pass accuracy, haven't hit the back of the net yet.
Over in the Earthquakes' camp, Cristian Arango, Josef Martínez, and Beau Leroux are the ones to watch, pocketing a goal each while achieving good ratings and pass accuracy. I must say, Martínez's pass accuracy of 93.9% certainly stands out.
Peering into the rearview mirror, the head-to-head clearly favors the Earthquakes, winning the most recent match. However, remember the Galaxy's victory back in 2024? They hit the Earthquakes for three then.
Comparing this season's records, San Jose Earthquakes appear to be in better form, while the Galaxy seem to favor a draw. The Galaxy's recent results don't bolster much confidence either, with multiple losses, while San Jose has been rocking the field with a commanding victory over FC Dallas.
All said and done, I believe this one's going to the Earthquakes. Given their form and past record, I reckon it'll be a bit of a squeeze, but they'll come out on top.
