Well, soccer fans, in the ever dramatic El Trafico we have Los Angeles FC pitted against LA Galaxy.
Let's look at our last line of defense first, the men between the sticks. For LA Galaxy's, we have Novak Mićović who's been pulling off some great saves, currently sitting on a 6.63 rating with 8 saves this season. On the other side, we have Los Angeles FC split between Hugo Lloris and David Ochoa sitting at a 7.10 and 6.50 rating. Lloris only has 3 saves this season, but remember, a goalkeeper's performance is extremely hard to measure solely in saves.
Moving on to our top performers, LA Galaxy will have their hopes pinned on Marco Reus and Joseph Paintsil. Both carry impressive ratings, 7.72 and 7.48 respectively, and both with 2 goals under their belts as well. However, Carlos Garces and Maya Yoshida's passing accuracy is quite eye-catching, to say the least.
On the other side, Denis Bouanga is the standout player for Los Angeles FC with an excellent 8.17 rating and 2 goals. Timothy Tillman & Eddie Segura, on the other hand, haven't found the net yet but boast of high passing accuracies.
Looking back at the past mash-ups, it seems like a seesaw battle here folks, with both sides stealing victories off each other in closely contested matches.
The regular season records and recent results, however, do paint a bit of a contrast. LA Galaxy is performing quite erratically and unfavorably with a record of 3 wins, 6 draws, and 13 losses. On the other hand, Los Angeles FC seems to be enjoying a better phase with 9 wins, 5 draws, and 5 losses.
Considering all these factors, the real expert here is not me but a good old fashioned humble analysis. So, here it is folks:
