We're in the midst of Round 12 and gearing up to witness a high-velocity clash between the towering Sydney Swans and the predatory Adelaide Crows. While the Crows sport an appealing 7-4 record compared to the Swans’ rather limp 4-7 showing, we all know records are as trustworthy as a snake oil salesman.
Let’s dive a bit into their history. The Swans have dished out some solid whippings to the Crows, taking 2 out of their last 3 matchups. But don't count out the Crows who are chuffed from a recent 66-point vivisection of the West Coast, while our dear Swans have been licking their wounds after a 53-point paddling by Melbourne.
As for their place in the pecking order, currently the Swans are shadowing the #13 spot, with the Crows perched on a comparatively lofty #4. However, keep in mind that the match isn't about how many leaves you can pile up, but which heap is left standing at the end.
Given the mounds of evidence, and with the utmost respect to every fan who bleeds red and white, it seems like this match might just be another notch on the Crows' win column. Prediction, you ask?
