My oh my, the Richmond Tigers have been a mess, haven't they? A pitiful record of 3-8 doesn't exactly warrant a round of applause, or even a sympathetic pat on the back for that matter. They've been stumbling like a koala that's had one too many Eucalyptus mints, and their previous matches from as recent as last month are heartbreaking - losing four out of five.
In contrast, the Greater Western Sydney Giants, with their slightly better but still mediocre record of 6-5, have been showing a few signs of life here and there. A bit inconsistent, a little like a kangaroo with vertigo, but they managed to conjure up a couple of wins in their last five games.
History between these two is all over the place like a toddler's painting - each one got a taste of victory in the last two rounds they met. But we're in the here and now, and right now, the Tigers look about as competent as a dingo doing a Rubik's Cube.
Considering the current standings - the Giants are holding on to the edge of the top 8, while the Tigers are languishing down at the 16th spot – well, let’s just say that this isn't exactlywhat you'd call a "clash of titans".
So, let me put you out of your misery with my prediction here. Before I do, please remember I love all life forms, including Tigers.
