Rybakina in 3 sets.Ah, tennis, isn't it the gift that just keeps on giving? In this case, it's delivering a spitfire matchup between Elena Rybakina and Elina Svitolina. A clash of the Elenas, if you will. Now, if you're one for past performances, and why wouldn't you be because hindsight is 20/20, you'll note that Rybakina has served up a double dose of defeat to Svitolina previously. A riveting plot line indeed.
Svitolina, however, comes riding a recent wave of victories, showing off a clean scorecard. But before you start jumping on this bandwagon faster than a fanboy at a comic convention, let's not forget the small fact that Rybakina violently dismantled former US Open champion Andreescu in straight sets. Seems like she's not too worried about the underdog status, eh?
