Badosa in 3 setsWell, blow me down with a feather, wouldn't this be a picker's nightmare if I were a betting person. The matchup between Badosa and Kostyuk is like picking between a shirt with grass stains or one with coffee spills. But let's break it down.
Paula Badosa, or as I like to call her, "The Barcelona Basher," comes into this match-up as the bookie's favorite. With seeds attached to them as if they were budding sunflowers, Badosa's got the edge, rolling in at number 11. The hard surface of Melbourne Park might be more familiar to her soles than the back of her hand.
Marta Kostyuk, on the other hand, our plucky 17th seed has been as inconsistent as my aunt's potato salad at a family gathering.
