Gauff in straight setsAlright tennis fans, let's orchestrate this a bit, shall we? We have on the stage young prodigy Coco Gauff versus the crafty play of Qinwen Zheng. Now if you've been keeping score at home, you'd know Qinwen Zheng is ranked 7th in the tournament, while Coco, our American rising star, is repping a stronger seed at spot 3. Let's not forget that Coco holds a small but sweet past victory over Qinwen.
Recent tours show both ladies are swinging with vim and vigor. Zheng managed to knock off some heavy competitors, showing that she can't be taken lightly, no sir. However, our Coco went head to head against Sabalenka, who trumped Zheng, and emerged victorious. Past performances are important, but Zheng suffered an embarrassing bout of tennis love against Sabalenka. Too bad, so sad.
