Montpellier by 3Diving straight into things, Montpellier and ASM Clermont Auvergne seem to love the number 12 as they both share a 12-13 regular season record. But is being twinsies good or bad for their matchup? Let's see.
Past encounters add a bit of spice to this rather bland twinning scenario -- like adding jalapeños to your toast. Clermont may just remember the sting at the end of an 18-22 loss last December. They have had their moments of redemption by thrashing Montpellier 52-15 in summer of 2024, so it's safe to say they'll want to replicate that scenario.
Montpellier still having nightmares of La Rochelle's 47 point explosion, while Clermont has been consistent like the lead character in an action movie never missing the bad guys. So here's a plot twist -- Montpellier somehow manages to eek out a win against Racing Metro 92.
