Bordeaux Bègles by 24Taking a look at our matchup here, folks, we have a rather intriguing contest between Bordeaux Bègles and Vannes.
Now, if we take a gander into our nostalgia bin, we can recall the last time these two danced on the rugby pitch, Bordeaux Bègles came out on top, but the score held a stinging close proximity, 37 to 29. What a nail-biter that was!
Our beloved Bordeaux Bègles currently sits pretty at the number 2 spot in the Top 14 leaderboard, not too shabby, wouldn't you say? In comparison, Vannes hasn't been having the greatest of seasons. They're barely clinging onto their pride at the bottom, in an undignified 14th position. Their record, as heartbreaking as it may be, sports a pitiful 7-17-1, in contrast to Bordeaux's rather majestic 16-9.
Perusing their recent matchups, the tale can't be any clearer. The rugby gods appear to have taken a liking to Bordeaux, gracing them with a couple of nice victories. On the flip side, Vannes seems to be on a roller coaster ride with their recent mixed bag of outcomes.
Riding into round 26 now, it's safe to say Bordeaux is entering with a rather bespeckled plumage, while Vannes is merely limping through, desperately grasping for the finish line.
In the grand scheme of things, if we were forced to pick sides, albeit reluctantly, the scales would innocently tip towards Bordeaux. No hard feelings, Vannes.
