Everton by 2I hope you've got your popcorn cooked to a nice artificial buttery perfection folks, because it's time to talk Everton vs Southampton. Yes, the two of you who've been waiting with bated breath. Looking at their meetings, these teams tend to play quite the game of hot potato, with Southampton coming out slightly ahead in their last couple of encounters.
Goalkeeping wise, we've got some decent stats here. Aaron Ramsdale has been keeping the Southampton net pretty secure with 6.88 rating and 12 saves to date this season. But on the other side, Jordan Pickford has been having a phenomenal season with a 7.30 rating and 18 of those fun spherical toys kept out of the net.
Let's look at some of the rockstars on each team. For Southampton, well this season Jack Stephens has really been pulling his weight, with a 7.27 rating, 1 goal in the bucket and a 93.7% accurate passing rate. Mateus Fernandes and Kyle Walker-Peters have also been holding down the fort pretty well. Look at Everton though, we see James Tarkowski leading the pack with a cracking 7.70 rating, with James Garner and Jarrad Branthwaite also showing good stats. And let's not forget Beto who, despite a lower rating, has 2 enormous goals to his name.
In the season so far, Southampton is coming in with a less than flattering 2-6-28 win-draw-loss record. Everton, on the other hand, have a better 9-15-12 record. Got to love those wins.
