Ladies and Gentlemen, here's a brief on our forthcoming pitch battle: Fulham versus Manchester City. It promises to be a cracker indeed, but fair warnings on the comedic quips.
Now, between the posts, we've got some men of steel on both ends. Stefan Ortega and Ederson, both stony-eyed, guard Manchester City's citadel. They've been fairly similar in performance, leaving little for us to axe about. In the opposing box, Bernd Leno for Fulham bears an equally impressive shield.
Onto the troops. On the blue half of Manchester, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne make the lion's share of the headlines. Silva impresses with his accuracy and critical eye for a net hit while De Bruyne, although not a prolific striker, has been quite elusive. And of course, young Rúben Dias, Steady Eddy in defence.
Now, for the chaps in white. Raúl Jiménez of Fulham is sharpened up and on target, while Harry Wilson's recent form brings a threat to City's defence. Antonee Robinson seals the deal in their defensive front - zero goals, but he's held the fort pretty well.
Looking back at the history, well, it reads like a one-sided children's science fiction book. Manchester City have always reigned supreme over Fulham, with similar results in their last four encounters. Records, too, show City high above in the clouds. Recent performances, on the other hand, expose Fulham's little dents here and there while City's train has been chugging along quite nicely.
Now, for a prediction. It's always a toss-up, but considering the wealth of talent, past form and gravity (it's not just for apples, you know!), I'd bet on the boys from Manchester City clinching the victory...with just a sneaky goal advantage.
Albert’s Prediction: Manchester City by 1
