Melbourne Storm by 1Believe it or not, here we are on the edge of round 5 with the Melbourne Storm and Manly Sea Eagles about to dance the rugby tango. Now, it's true that the Storm has a bit of a cloud hanging over them since they've been chosen the favorites. Ah, the pressure of expectation!
However, if we take a walk down memory lane, the Eagles have triumphed three out of the last four times that these two gale forces have clashed. Feathers have flown, and the Storm has been on the losing side of the scoreboard.
But what's a little history without a glance at the present? The Eagles strut into this match with a 3-1 record in the regular season, while Storm's clouds have been slightly dimmer with a 2-1 record. Yet, all is not lost; the Storm is nestled quite cozy at #4 in the NRL Premiership standings with the Eagles perched slightly higher at #2.
Let's take a moment to bask in their recent performances. The Storm showed a bit of lightning against our dear Dragons but tumbled into some turbulence against the Panthers. The Eagles on the flip side have been soaring high, except for an unexpected nosedive against the Warriors.
