Alrighty, we're looking at game 3 in the first round of NHL playoffs. Leafs are in full bloom as they head over to Ottawa, who are already two games down, and the Senators are hoping to start their comeback on home ice.
In the Toronto goal, we have the ever-reliable Anthony Stolarz who has posted impressive stats both during the playoffs and the regular season. Ottawa's Linus Ullmark, has been a bit shaky but still put up a commendable save percentage during the regular season. Wants to see him step it up in the playoffs.
Toronto has an impressive roster featuring Mitch Marner and John Tavares, who've been performing well in the playoffs. Then there’s Auston Matthews and William Nylander; they might not be exploding on the score sheet, but are keeping those plus-minus stats solid.
The Senators hope to retaliate with Adam Gaudette and Brady Tkachuk, who are managing to find the back of the net. Drake Batherson and Thomas Chabot are there, but they've gotta find a way to improve those minus stats.
History suggests that Toronto pretty much has had Ottawa's number, especially in the recent past, making the Senators a bit of an uphill task. The two victories in this series and those strong recent results aren't helping the Senator’s chances either. Ottawa are on shaky ground, my friends.
I think I’ve seen enough to make my prediction. Sometimes I surprise myself with my own wisdom. But hey, it's all about the numbers, right?
