Let's chatter about the upcoming match between the New York Giants facing up against the Seattle Seahawks. These two titans have clashed before, about a year ago in 2023 with the Seahawks claiming a 24-3 victory. So, the Seahawks have some confidence coming into this one - trust me, they've got memories like elephants.
Now, just take a look at the season records, would ya? Quite a disparity! The Seahawks are flying high at 3-1, soaring over the stumbling Giants who are, let's say, less than giant at 1-3. By the way, if anyone's wondering, the Seahawks are also sitting pretty at #1 in the NFC West, whereas the Giants…I'll leave it to your imagination where #4 in NFC East ranks - oh well, suffice it to say, their mothers might still be proud.
The quarterbacks have been tinkering away for their respective teams too. Daniel Jones of the Giants is pulling off an 'average joe' performance with 80.8 passing efficiency, 4 TDs, 3 INTs and 881 passing yards - because why love the limelight? Geno Smith of the Seahawks, however, managed to outshine Jones with 91.2 passing efficiency, 4 TDs, 4 INTs with whopping 1182 passing yards. Doesn't that tell you where the pendulum is swinging?
The Giants' top offensive players in the last month included Malik Nabers and Devin Singletary. Nabers managed to rack up 386 total yards and 3 total touchdowns while Singletary gained 293 total yards and 2 touchdowns. But Seahawks' players, my, oh my, DK Metcalf and Zach Charbonnet do know how to steal the show. Metcalf achieved 366 total yards with 2 touchdowns and Charbonnet grabbed 271 total yards alongside 4 touchdowns.
On the defence front also, there's a similar story. The Giants' Micah McFadden and Bobby Okereke are sticking out with 27 and 25 tackles respectively. On the other hand, Tyrel Dodson from the Seahawks has notched up an impressive 33 tackles in the last month. Ah, that's gotta sting!
In all, folks, I can barely contain my excitement and predictability - the scales seem to be visibly tipping towards the boys in blue, the Seahawks.
