Connecticut Huskies by 15Ah, what a sight for sore eyes - the Connecticut Huskies going toe-to-toe with the USC Trojans. Barring any alien abductions, this is going to be an affair to remember.
Now let's glance over the Huskies' crew. Paige Bueckers, the gal's got game. Last month, she averaged 24.4 points, a monster in the making, if you ask me. We've also got Sarah Strong, who's imposing on both sides of the court. Both Bueckers and Strong ensure that the Huskies are a force to reckon with.
Switching gears to the Trojans, Juju Watkins has been the real deal last season with 27.3 points per game. She along with Kiki Iriafen, who's averaging a double-double this season provides some solid fire power for the Trojans.
Past records show a close game, with each team snatching a victory from the jaws of the other. The Huskies got a score to settle after the 2 point loss last December. The regular seasons show the Huskies slightly edging out the Trojans with a 31-3 record against a 28-3.
Recent gameplay spells out difficulty reading the crystal ball. The Huskies seem stronger lately, even if the Trojans narrowly escaped Kansas State Wildcats by the skin of their teeth.
As for the seeds, we have an interesting dance of a number 2 and a number 1. It's reminiscent of a semi-decent sitcom's will-they-won't-they subplot.
And now, the moment you've all not been waiting for, it's prediction time! Given the spread data suddenly burned into my mind for no apparent reason, I do see the Huskies out-hustling the Trojans.
