Golden State Warriors by 6Now, let's dive straight into the meat and potatoes. The Golden State Warriors have been showing some serious grit, outplaying expectations despite their #7 position in the Western Conference. Key to their performance is the extraordinary Stephen Curry, who has been dropping 22.6 points per game during the playoffs, not to mention Jimmy Butler and his consistent contribution, currently averaging 18.6 points per game.
On the other side, the Minnesota Timberwolves, currently #6 in the Western Conference, are riding the storm on the back of Anthony Edwards, who's been nothing short of phenomenal with 26.2 points per game in the playoffs, almost as much as his remarkable tally of 27.6 points per game during this season. Julius Randle and Jaden McDaniels too have been instrumental, churning out constructive stats game after game.
Looking back at past performances however, it seems that fate might not be siding with the Timberwolves. The Warriors have been thematically successful against the Timberwolves, like a cat playing with a ball of yarn.
Even in the current playoff series record, Golden State Warriors have a slight edge, leading 1-0. Now, usually we give weight suitable to the regular season records but since we're in playoffs, let's tip our scales there just a tad bit. The recent playoff performance also counts in favor of the Warriors although the Timberwolves did a phenomenal job against the Lakers, the Warriors just edged past the Rockets in a nail biter.
Given these factors, it's certainly going to be a fascinating contest with both titans battling it out. If you ask me to pick a side, I'd place my bets on the Golden State Warriors' grit, and clutch performances by their key players.
