You all ready for another riveting faceoff in the world of arbitrary competitiveness? And, no, I'm not speaking of a beet-eating competition - it's the Atlanta Hawks versus the Miami Heat. On tap tonight, we've got two Eastern Conference teams duking it out in what promises to be a sweaty clash of field goals, rebounds, and -- let's hope not -- embarrassing fouls.
In the Hawks' corner, three eye-catching lads are making all the right moves. Trae Young, pretty much the embodiment of an offensive firework, is weighing with great numbers not only last season, but also in last month’s stats with dazzling displays of athleticism. That's 27.3 points scored on average per game - I mean, was he trying to paint a Picasso or something? But don't overlook the tag-team help from Dyson Daniels and De'Andre Hunter, both of whom are cranking out the roundball like it's going out of style. Seriously, Hunter’s the silent but deadly one, with his all-around last month's stats powering the Hawks on many an occasion.
Now, taking a pit stop in Miami, we've got Tyler Herro turning up the Heat - 24.1 points per game last month, anyone? - along with Bam Adebayo and Andrew Wiggins making their present felt on the court. As great as Adebayo’s overall stats are, he showed a spectacular form recently with averaging a double-double in points and rebounds. Quite a show-off, right?
In terms of historical friction between these two teams, there might still be some lingering sting for the Heat, as the Hawks are having a decent track record in their past encounters - sweet memories for Atlanta, not so much for Miami.
Looking at recent results, Miami seems to have hit a bit of turbulence with their recent games and it’s not a Bermuda Triangle. While the Hawks aren’t exactly flying as high, they’ve still managed to maintain a slightly steadier path in the wild winds of the NBA.
Of course, it's anybody's game once the Rifti whistle blows, isn't it? But if you've already placed your bets, then I don’t even need your change for my vending machine snack. With consideration of all these, I shall untangle this ball of yarn and make my prediction.
Albert’s Prediction: Atlanta Hawks by 3.
