Alright folks, buckle up because we're in for a thrilling matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Timberwolves are definitely limping into this one as they are experiencing a bit of a personnel crisis. Injured list, anyone? They're going to miss Gobert's robust presence under the hoop, not to mention Randle who's been known to toss a few dimes. Our man of the moment though, is Anthony Edwards who's been shooting the lights out and scoring north of 33 points a game for the past month. Woah.
Now shifting our focus to the thunderous OKC. Talk about a team that’s soaring. They have been a picture of consistency holding a dominant position in the Western Conference. However, big man Chet Holmgren’s absence may dent their paint protection, which is a bit of a bummer. Though, Thunder fans can breathe easy knowing Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is fit and raring to go. Good thing too, as he's been racking up over 33 points a game, a little over Edwards, in the past month.
Considering the regular season, the Thunder have had a significant upper hand with 46 wins to the Timberwolves' 31. If we look at past meetings, it's clearly a seesaw with both teams snagging wins, although Thunder's victory was more recent which makes it smell sweeter.
But hey, ultimately it's about who brings their A-game tonight and considering the current scenario, my chips are on the healthier and top-performing Thunder. Sorry Timberwolves, your bark is worse than your bite this season. Also, fun fact, the Thunder are favored by quite a comfortable margin.
